Block 99 is a unique preservation and redevelopment project on a 6,000 square-foot lot located in the heart of downtown Aspen. It is within walking distance to all downtown amenities: seasonal farmers market, bike trails, art, music, shopping, restaurants, parks, gondola and the new Shigeru Ban- designed Aspen Art Museum.
Austin Lawrence Partners acquired the site in 2010. A compressive redevelopment plan included the restoration of the two 1890s historic miner’s cabins and the addition of a new commercial/residential three-story structure, separated by a landscaped courtyard. Completed in July of 2015, the commercial/ residential building includes a 2,500 square foot one-of-a kind penthouse.
